Making a last-minute change in the lineup, it's being reported that Cheryl Cole will no longer be a judge on the U.S. version of "The X Factor".
According to TMZ, the former Girls Aloud singer was dropped because she's been deemed by network execs as having too thick of a British accent.
Of the news, an insider with ties to Miss Cole told Us magazine, "It's true. She isn't on the show anymore. Everyone is gobsmacked. This came out of nowhere. She had already been tested countless times. Simon had nothing to do with it. This is the network's doing."
Meanwhile, it's thought that Cheryl will be replaced by Nicole Scherzinger, who was previously lined up to co-host the show - which debuts this September - alongside Steve Jones.
