A Buckingham Palace cleaner ruined one of former royal Sarah Ferguson's Frank Sinatra keepsakes - because she thought the crooner's signature on a plate was just "a doodle".
The singer signed the plate for Ferguson at a star-studded gala after she revealed she once saw him in concert in Las Vegas years before she married then-husband Prince Andrew.
Fergie treasured the gift and took it home to England.
She says, "I took it back to Buckingham Palace, put it up on the mantle piece and some lovely lady, thinking that I'd been doodling, came in one day and went, 'Look at that, she's been writing all over the plate...' and cleaned the plate.
"I came back and went, 'Huh?' I couldn't do anything about it."
