Ashley Greene, Gerard Butler: Dating or not?

In a seemingly romantic pairing few could have predicted it appears Gerard Butler and ?Twilight? star Ashley Greene have discovered romance.

Spies say the odd couple were getting ?hot and heavy? at ?The Boom Boom Room? in New York on June 7th.

?He had a hand on her shoulder and leaned in to her,? one snitch tells Us Weekly. ?He really turned on the charm.?

Should the rumors be true they both face quite a task if they plan to impress ? 24-year old Ashley was recently linked to Joe Jonas while Gerard was seen with Lindsay Lohan last weekend and counts Jennifer Aniston among his previous conquests.

But the visual evidence of the pair?s new-found link is quite persuasive ? Gerard, 41, apparently serenaded Ms. Greene with a lip-synced rendition of Journey?s 1981 classic, ?Don?t Stop Believing.?

And just to add charm he then allegedly put one hairy paw on Ashley?s slim butt.
