LOS ANGELES - A man fatally shot in Nickerson Gardens was identified today by the coroner's office.
He was Richard David Thompson, 22, of Los Angeles. The autopsy concluded he died from the gunshot wound to his upper torso, suffered Friday night at about 11 p.m. in the 1500 block of 114th Street, said coroner's Lt. Joe Bale.
Thompson was declared dead at a hospital, police said.
