Upon her release from the hospital, Jewel tweeted, "Hey everyone - just got released from the ER & my Dr's office - everything is fine - me & the baby r ok - thanx 4 all your thoughts & prayers."
Even though a photo of the accident shows significant damage to her vehicle, there's no question the singer credits the car she was in with saving her life.
Jewel, 36, later told her Twitter followers, "One thing I do know is my car saved my & baby's life - definitely going 2 get another Cadillac SRX! It absorbed all the damage & kept me safe!"
Jewel is expecting a baby this spring with her husband, rodeo star Ty Murray.
Her camp did not release information about the condition of the other driver in the wreck, Jim Pack.
Reassuring fans of her health, she tweeted about resting up after the incident: "Dr said no working out, so I'm going to take it easy this weekend...Just a little sore and banged up, but feeling so blessed this morning."
