'Bachelor' finale ratings down 15% from last year

Last night's three-hour finale of the lovelorn reality staple powered ABC to a win, averaging a 4.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 13.8 million viewers overall, reports USA TODAY's Gary Levin.
But, Gary points out, it is a statement about the broadcast competition that The Bachelor put ABC in the lead despite posting its lowest finale ratings in almost three years and falling 15% compared with last spring's season ender.
